bayern Munich blog series - 2
Hi everyone, this is Olivia. In this post, I’ll give a short summary of Bayern Munich’s past couple of weeks, including their latest results, important milestones, and how the team has managed rotation and form before the international break.
Oktoberfest Glory and Record Week for Bayern Munich
Kane hits 100 goals, Kimmich reaches 300 Bundesliga games, Bayern extend their winning run
The past two weeks have been another strong period for Bayern Munich, full of goals, milestones, and confidence. From Harry Kane’s incredible 100-goal mark to Kimmich’s 300th Bundesliga appearance, Bayern’s consistency under Vincent Kompany keeps getting stronger.
Kane’s historical record
Harry Kane reached 100 goals for Bayern in just 104 matches, making him the fastest player in club history to reach that milestone across all competitions. Compared to players like Cristiano Ronaldo, who needed 105 games to reach 100 goals for Real Madrid, and Erling Haaland, who did it in 117 matches for Manchester City, it shows that Kane is truly one of the best strikers in world football today!
His two goals in the 4–0 win during Oktoberfest week sealed the record and showed again how important he is for the team.
Milestone for Kimmich and Goretzka’s leadership
Joshua Kimmich marked his 300th Bundesliga appearance, a huge achievement that shows his consistency and importance in this Bayern era. Leon Goretzka is also close to that mark and continues to bring balance and experience in midfield. These milestones show how long the current Bayern core has stayed at the top level.
Rotation, pressure, and new faces
Bayern’s eight straight league wins, or ten in all competitions, show not only their quality but also smart rotation. Kompany has managed to give key attackers enough rest to stay fresh. Young midfielder Bischof has shown signs that he can challenge Pavlović or Goretzka for a starting role, especially in matches against mid teams where Bayern can experiment more.
Boey, who joined from Galatasaray, is starting to display the attacking energy he was known for in Turkey. His forward runs add width and speed to Bayern’s right side. On the other flank, Díaz was excellent against Frankfurt, combining sharp movements with constant attacking threat. His performance deserved recognition as one of the best on the pitch.
Frankfurt 0–3 Bayern: Tougher than the score suggests
Bayern’s latest win came away at Eintracht Frankfurt, where an early goal after just 14 seconds set the tone. The first half was not easy though, as Frankfurt’s high pressing created pressure and forced mistakes in Bayern’s half. As Serge Gnabry said afterward, if their goal had not been disallowed for handball, the match could have become more complicated. Bayern recovered well in the second half, added another goal, and stayed in control until the end. It was a match that showed their maturity and calm under pressure.
Looking ahead
With Stanišić expected to return after the international break, the defense will have more rotation options. The key takeaway from this stretch is that Bayern not only kept the winning streak but also avoided injuries. This balance is crucial for the long season ahead.
For now, it is ten wins in ten, Kane’s record-breaking 100 goals, and a squad that looks deep, disciplined, and confident. The break arrives at the right time, giving Kompany’s side space to breathe before the next run of fixtures. And maybe, for Bayern fans, a chance to dream even bigger!>
